Outreach support available

I can offer any support within the teaching and learning of KS1 English and Maths, including the planning and delivery of lessons and accurate assessment. As an SLE, I have delivered ‘Classroom and Behaviour Management’ and ‘Marking & Feedback’ training for HLTA’s. Within school, I have also delivered inset training on Maths Mastery and Growth Mindset.

I am a professional and well-established teacher who has been teaching for six years. I currently teach Year 2 at Ratby Primary School, where I also lead KS1 and Maths.

I became an SLE in 2018 and have so far thoroughly enjoyed meeting fellow practitioners and being part of such a wider and supportive network. This role and the experiences that come with it have equipped me with many skills; I am a confident communicator, a good problem solver and lead with honesty and fairness. I am passionate about raising the outcomes for pupils and sharing good/outstanding practice. I have a keen interest in the KS1 assessment framework, accurate assessment and the moderation process.

Relevant experience in specialism

As a Senior Leader within school, I have been instrumental in raising the outcomes for pupils in KS1 in reading, writing and maths. I have a thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the end of KS1 Assessment framework and have supported both internal and external moderation. I have also been responsible for delivering maths mastery CPD within school and supporting colleagues with their planning and delivering of writing using the ‘Talk 4 Writing’ approach. At present, I am also enrolled onto the SLE School Improvement Support Programme led by NCTEM and the Maths Hub.
