Outreach support available

My main areas of strength are class based support and working with class teachers and TA’s. I enjoy working with staff in other schools and offering school to school support. I’ve delivered training in ‘Leading Mentally Healthy Schools’, led English development meetings, CPD in English – specifically reading – and facilitated writing moderation meetings.

I have over 10 years of teaching and leadership experience and have taught across the primary key stages, though mostly in KS2. I have involvement in curriculum development, increasing pupil and parent voice and am part of the Senior Leadership Team at Eastfield Primary School. I am experienced in supporting trainee teachers, teachers new to the profession and experienced staff. I have completed the National SENCO Award, overseeing SEND at Eastfield. I have experience of supporting staff across the curriculum but have had training in dyslexia support and general literacy support across primary school. I have liaised with local Early Years providers and Secondary schools to support pupil transitions.

Relevant experience in specialism

In 2014, I began my SLE experience with 1:1 school support and then became an SLE in 2015 as a specialist in English. I have regularly led training and supported schools across STEP and BEP. I have experience of working with staff in schools to support delivery of English and Maths. I have done this through 1:1 school support. This has involved good practice visits for teachers to observe lessons delivered by myself as well as visiting schools and supporting teachers in planning, assessing and delivering the curriculum to suit the school’s and the pupils’ needs.

In addition to this, I have delivered training across the STEP Teaching School Alliance and facilitated moderation and English Network meetings for local teachers and Headteachers.
